How I got here
I grew up on the Space Coast building boats and fixing engines in my parents' garage. That turned into a mechanical engineering degree, then five engineering roles — custom cabinetry, industrial controls, sheet-metal automation, and finally orthopedic instruments I helped patent alongside the surgeons who used them.
The machines always needed software around them — production dashboards, quoting tools, compliance documents — and for years that was somebody else's job, or nobody's. AI changed the math. Now I build both halves: the mechanism and the system that runs it.
The AI Toolkit is where that research lives. Thirteen interactive field guides — 65 families, 268 patterns — that I ran down, wrote, and built myself. It started as notes on what actually held up and what didn't. It's the reference I wanted and couldn't find.
